Default "Set Password and Lock - BB Manager"

Please Login to Remove!

Okay, I set this password which is prompted when the device turns on. Its weird cause its not like I enter it and thats it. It asks me every time I dont push something for 3 sec. But once I put the password back in it let me back into it. Maybe it is a policy setting I just dont know. This is my first BES install and it pretty new to me.

Anyone?

Is it really every 3 seconds?

Maybe its me, but this is the 2nd post in a row that I've having a hard time following ... care to elaborate a bit?

Its either a setting under the security options that is causing it to lock or its a policy setting being pushed from the bes to lock it. ... but the security timeout is based on minutes no seconds.

Sorry.. Not necessarily 3 seconds. It's more like 45-60 seconds of inactivity that it asks for the password again. I've looked on the phone itself, and there is no timeout set. I'm fairly new to BES, and don't know where to set the IT policy setting for a possible lockout after a certain amount of inactivity.

Any ideas?

depending on your device OS it is under options>security>general settings

you may have yours set to one minute?

You should download the appropriate documentation for the version of BES you're running. In addition, the Policy Reference Guide will give you a breakdown of all IT Policy settings.

Perhaps search for: Set Password Timeout
