Just got an AT&T Bold today at Best Buy. Switched from an iPhone 3G. I have a family plan with the family unlimited messaging.
Whenever I try to send an MMS message, I get a red X showing that it can't send. When I receive one, it says this:
"Could not retrieve message content. Try again later."
If I click the pearl and Retrieve Now, it shows "Receiving content..." but never actually gets anything.
Spent 30 minutes on the phone with AT&T tech support who said either the phone or SIM is messed up and I should go back to Best Buy. Before I make that trip, just wanted to see what anyone here thinks.
Talking again to AT&T. Apparently Media Net is blocked on my line from having the iPhone, so they're trying to get all that stuff off so MMS works again. Good times.
OK, I'm all set now after 1.5 hours on the phone with AT&T. It seems that when you switch from an iPhone to anything else, the Media Net blocks get left there deep in their systems. The guy I spoke with had to conference in a Level 2 tech to get everything taken care of. Required numerous battery pulls, but everything is finally set as it should be.
I have the same problem too and i use Rogers i try doing what all of you have done....but after all it dosen't work but it did work before is not like it never work but for some reason more more i've heard that cannot send MMS humm this is really funny haha i dunno it might be the network or something or maybe is the BlackBerry Bold itself maybe people should send RIM some of this information to the tech support to blackberry.
