Hello:

I want to connect my BB 8220 to my WiFi but for security reasons I configured my router to only accept connections from authorized devices. Devices are identified by their name and MAC address. I was able to get my phone's MAC address but not the name. I tried the IMEI but that didn't work. Without the name I will not be able to connect to my WiFi network.

How do I get or set the phone's name?

try to connect and see what name is being used. Or for a few minutes open the router up and let it connect then add what ever name it uses.
