Default User getting two copies of every email sent or received

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

First of all...I am a long time lurker, first time poster, and I have a problem. I have a user that is using a 8800c and set up his own email when he got the phone. We then switched him over to our BES, but now he received two copies of sent and received email. I am unsure how to go about deleting or unregistering his first email account. Any ideas... I appreciate the help.

Thanks,

Lee

The user needs to disable BIS (BlackBerry Internet Service) on his corporate account:

Is this deleting of the email account done by the user or the BES admin?

The BIS is the account that the user set up through the "set up internet e-mail" icon. That needs to be removed by the user.

It should be done by the user if they remember setting it up.

I had a user that had someone else set them up on a BIS even though I had them on our BES. When people don't have a clue of what they are doing this can happen.

Since the user had no clue about the BIS setup I was able to call Verizon and have them remove/disable it for me and all was well.
