i use google maps and bbtraffic and when i want to get directions to somewhere i have to first go into options and refresh my location, then i can use either program. If i don't refresh my location first the programs say they cannot find my gps.
Is like i have to turn on my gps fiest.
Any ideas?

I checked as wel. Have Location set to: ON
Have Maps grab current location on open
I have to manually update my position before maps gets it. Strange bug because Foursquare and SocialScope don't have a problem with my location.

I solved my problem by deleting the weather channel application. I noticed that this application used the bb gps, after deleting it, both google maps and bb traffic work perfectly.

My GPS wasn't working on my google maps nor my Runtastic app. It worked after I reset Google maps

Hi, I had difficulty with my GPS cutting out on my BB9900 with OS7.1 - I started the phone in Safe Mode (hold down the back button during a reboot right up to the login) and it worked fine. I worked my way through each of the apps on my phone,starting them up and waiting a few minutes to see if the GPS was still functioning. Eventually, I found the app that was conflicting - WeatherEye, with the Location setting to ON was causing the issue. I removed WeatherEye, now it works fine.
