I am less disturbed by Sarah Palin's lack of eloquence, which is I believe a product of her relative lack of impromptu speaking experience, than I am about the content of her speech. I find nearly all of her positions on important social issues to have a disturbing lack of the shades of gray that - in my experience - tend to come with maturity. Few issues are truly black and white.

I am a conservative, by the way.

In particular, she kept saying this about the nuclear button during the campaign: I won't hesitate.

We need leaders who will take this issue a wee bit more seriously.
