Not even upgrading to a new OS will re-lock a Blackberry once it's been unlocked.

Yikes! Please read up on subsidy/SIM locks (Google is your friend). A "locked" device means that it can only be used on the carrier the device is locked to. An unlocked device can be used with any GSM carrier. That's it! You don't "unlock to" each carrier.

well at&t just gave me the "unlocked" code. and it was a long ass numerical #'s. they said once i go to tmobile and put in their sim card, it should automatically ask me for the "unlocked" code and put in what at&t gave me and it should work. is that true? is that the proper steps to unlock a device? thx in advance.

I am glad it is a numerical number.

I have an 8320 on T-Mobile and am moving to AT&T because it is cheaper. Do I need to unlock it or will it just work? Do I have to use that SunsetWireless company to unlock or can I call T-Mobile for a code? Will my unlocked T-Mobile phone on AT&T work if I visit Mexico or do I need another code?

What does FAQ mean? Why is the guy with the Razr Flip as his avatar so mean?

I suggest you call them and demand they provide you with the unlock code for your device, as you're obviously entitled to it!
