hello forum;
Iam new to Blackberry,i have a requirement where i need to develop a application with an custom contact form application(which contains extra fields other than the native contact form in the device).
Now whenever a new contact is added/deleted/updated it should be updated in the BES and than in the MES(Microsoft Exchange Server).
I really dont know how BES works, its architecture and data storage .
I want to know how this extra contact fields refelect in the BES when synchronized using these Sync api's..and how they are gonna be reflected in the MES end...i mean wheather the new custom fields added are gonna reflect or only the native default fields are gonna be synced and the rest be ignored..........



If ever the custom fields get reflecte don the BES side how will the sync between BES and MES take place ..

What is BES ....is it just an interface between MES and Device......or a server which stores data and than passes it to MES.....if ever it is a server how will it store the data.
