Nope. Skype only for Verizon - a US carrier - on Verizon branded BlackBerrys. Not available on MTN or any other carriers...

Hey guys Skype announced that it will be available for BB in May 2009.

I guess Skype just forgot to issue it except to Verizon

IM plus Lite is not even close to Skype. IM Plus Lite, is a program which allows you to integrate all your messengers into one. Skpye is one program for chat, voice calls, and Video Chat.

Well, skype don't work for us, as NJBlackBerry said (only Verizon).

I hope they come up with it soon.

it will, another option you can look at is Google Voice but that will only work with while in the US if I understand correctly

Google Voice still uses minutes...

But TringMe - Web based Telephony gives you an option of making and receiving calls over a wifi. Not the best quality, but its free, so definitely beats paying roaming and long distance charges...
