Default Trim Piece Installed Backwards?

Please Login to Remove!

I was looking closely at the very thin piece of trim that separates the bottom of the display from the top of the four function keys and track ball.

A close look reveals a gap at the bottom of both ends of the trim piece above the red connect and green disconnect buttons, and a gap at the top in the middle adjacent to the display.

These gaps suggest to me that the trim piece is installed backwards (upside down), as the red connect and green disconnect keys have a slight angle to their shapes at the top.

If the trim piece were to be flipped around the gaps would disappear.

Anyone else notice this? Is this a removable piece?

Can you post a picture of this?

From the 9630 devices that I have seen, the piece I think you are asking about is straight across the bottom of the display, and the green connect/red disconnect buttons do not have the slight angle you mentioned.

There ya go. Although someone has mentioned already that this is not a separate piece.

I think you're absolutely correct. Slight design flaw, I'd say.

Hmm, I just checked a few of the other Tours. None have the gaps like in the picture. If it really irks you then exchange it.

Out of sheer curiosity, where is your BB Tour made-Canada or Mexico?
