I upgraded someone's Storm OS today, but their PIN directory was non-existant. What might be the cause of this?

They had no 3rd party apps installed, so I assume this was the reason.

I backed up via DM, and also restored, but when I restored, there were three backup files: the one I manually backed up, and two from the loader, one with _1 appended. The last two were the exact same size. Does the loader perform a backup as well, with my manual backup acting as a "just-in-case"?

Why do you have to enter all that personal info to download the file?

I don't have a "Company Name"...I just want to update my phone.

Hey all:

I am totally new to this Blackberry. I have a BB 9530 and with Telus. I recenlty downloaded the latest firmware which is 4.0.7.148 and updated it. After I i check the info by going to options->about: I only see 4.0.7.122 etc. What did I do wrong? Any help would be appreciated. thank you.

Flycast doesn't seem to work with this version.

Hopefully it will work with the Verizon release.

This one also screwed up the pixels on my keyboard
For some reason. Not horribly bur noticable.

Default Asian fonts

I upgraded to this OS and all is working fine except for some music files.
Seems all the asian music files are in weird looking characters, I thought this OS was multilan? I have checked off chinese simplified and Traditional but the fonts on the blackberry is not coming out right..desktop manager sees the asian fonts just fine..any ideas?

Thanks

Unhappy confused please help

I am confused about the "MultiLanguage" really means,

I have a BB device 9530, it's English (like the computer OS Windows XP English version, All of the GUI , menu, everything.....is English)

Does the "MultiLanguage" mean, it can change my BB device from English interface to Chinese interface?(like the computer OS Windows XP Chinese version, All of the GUI, menu, everything....is Chinese)

or,"MultiLanguage" means that it just only can "Read", "Show", "Keyin" Chinese , but not the Chinese interface(like the computer OS Windows XP English version + Chinese input method support + Chinese font support....)

I am really confused, please help, thanks a lot.
