So, my gmail account on my BB was working fine, but I recently became aware that Gmail now has upgraded to the latest and greatest BIS.

I checked, and it did not appear that my gmail was reconciling wirelessly as it is supposed to with the new BIS.

Some reading suggested I remove the account, and re-add it. So, I did using the setup fucntion on my handset.

I get the email saying all is setup, and it will take 30 minutes to get emails. Well, it has been 24, and wierdly enough, I have only gotten 2 out of 50 or so emails on my handset, and of course, ALL my old emails are not on my handheld anymore.

Anyone have a solution to get things showing up on my handheld, and perhaps to get my old emails back on my handheld, though that is a minor consideration. I just want things to synch and reconcile like they are supposed to.

Resend service books and do a battery pull. Log into your BIS account using the web and make sure th IMEI and PIN are correct.

Only new mail from the time the account was (re)activated will appear on the handheld. BIS does not push any old mail AFAIK. To get the old email, you will need to send it to yourself.

The wireless reconcile is not fully implemented by all carriers and in all locations, yet. Appears to be slowly coming online however.

I'll try that all. Thanks. Anyone know how to send service books and access the BIS on verizon. I found a link last night, but it would not let me log in, I think because I am on BES (But, the other accounts use BIS frmo my understanding) so perhaps the handheld is my only option.

I have called sprint tonight and they have told me BIS is down. Ive not received emails since around 2pm today

Ahhhh. You are on BES? Send service books from the handheld or call your carrier and have them do it.

I just registered on the network, and my other BIS account dowloaded a bunch of messages instantly.

But, GMail still isn't working. Is it possible I have some settings wrong somewhere.

Anyone know if I can IMAP my GMail account with my BB.

Apparently not, since the answer is not in that thread. I found it though.

BUT, it still is not working. Time to call the carrier.
