Default Fantasy Football, Best Live Box Scores Sites on your Phone

Please Login to Remove!

any FF freaks in here besides me...
1st off; I'm part of the ANG which means every 1st weeked of the month Uncle Sam owns me. I mostly upgraded to this phone because I go nutz not knowing whats going on with my Teams... I'm usually in 4 money leagues and commish 3 of them.
I tried using ESPN the other day and it sucked (went on their MLB Live Box Scores). Does anyone have any good sites that I should know that gives great Live Box Scores? Does anyone have an other cool set up I should know about for FF this year?
There is just so much too learn with this phone.

I've been looking into this as well. The ESPN site is pretty much a waste of time. I use Yahoo leagues for fantasy football and have been looking into some way that I can use my crackberry to check my team's progress and make some last minute adjustments to my lineup. I haven't drafted any of my teams yet, but it looks like I might be able to change my lineup using the standard site. I would probably wet myself if I could get StatTracker to work, but that is all Flash and won't work on a BB until they go 3g and open up the browser. Yahoo offered a mobile client for Fantasy Football for $3 in 2005. I can't find anything similar now... I think they rolled it into their new Yahoo Go! package, but I refuse to install that program as it looks like a PIG. The FAQ section of their website is kinda vague and doesn't offer much help in this arena.

Can't wait to figure this out and give my wife a whole new reason to hate the crackberry.

For live baseball box scores, I have had great luck using the individual teams mobile sites. I am a Red Sox fan and I just key in RedSox.com, and I am automatically connected to their mobile site. From there you can view "live pitch-by-pitch", scoring plays, game summary etc. I also believe that you can go to MLB.com and then go to each teams website and get the same information.

If somebody finds a way to manage and monitor your Yahoo Fantasy Football team from your BB, please let us know.

Frankly, I am not a FF fan. But at my last job there were a number of them. I know that CBS Sportsline had a BB application that you could download. Not sure if others offer the same.

Looks like you have to be joined to a CBS SL league for this to work.

I am in a Yahoo one...would love to find an app or something for the BB in which I could follow fanatsy stats etc.

Yahoo live scoring is unavaliable on the BB... that sucks.
MFL live scoring is avaliable on their website (it refreshes every 90 secs)

Yahoo still lets you make roster changes wirelessly from their WAP site if you are either in a plus league, or if you buy the option separately.

I don't think it gives you live scores for your weekly matchup, but i seem to remember that it will give you live individual stats for your team. The site kinda stinks though, unless they upgraded it from last year.

My take on it is that it's only good for making a roster change if you're desperate, b/c it does work for that. I always end up getting my stats from something like the nfl.com's wireless site (although I'm not sure they have one that's for non-Sprint users). (I do the same for baseball, and mlb's wireless site is VERY good for fantasy purposes, it even has fantasy updates when you click on individual players...and it works on all carriers)

I've never seen anything about any of this being rolled into Yahoo Go! by the way.

I went into and Bookmarked my Yahoo! Fantasy Sports page and was able to go into 4 rosters (using Opera mini). There I believe I have full access to all the options.
***confirmed*** I went on my Team site; added and dropped a player.

The table on the link below indicates that "Wireless Access" is included in the free leagues.

Fantasy Football Leagues on Yahoo! Sports

Wireless Access:
Check stats, scores and standings, and even make roster moves from any Web-enabled mobile phone (WAP).

Still trying to find the mobile link.

Thats not real Live StatTracking... I had that last year... it sucked
It would show your team line up and only display how many pts they scored
ex: this is what it would display
LT 24.23
LJ 19.96
Thats it... and there was no auto refresh.

MFL.com shows everything.

I'm more of looking for Live Boxscores for Cell Phones

The link from your browser is:

m.yahoo.com (this will redirect you to us.m.yahoo.com)
Scroll down to "sports"
Scroll down to "Fantasy Sports"
Select "Fantasy Football" or PLUS or whatever sport applies to your situation
Select "My League"
Select the league you want to view

I think the page address is login specifc, otherwise I would just post the the link. Like I said before, my team is drafting tonight so as soon as my team is entered I will play around and post my impressions.

So far I can see;

1 Standings
2 Edit Roster
3 Player Stats
4 Scoreboard

and then some more navigation links.

In terms of Stattracking, I know that if you have bought the StatTracker add-on then your scores and stats will update live when viewing your team's homepage, we will have to wait and see if the same logic applies to the mobile site.

Trust me... Live FF Stattracking from the yahoo site sucks.

Thats why I'm looking for some good Live Boxscore sites.

i use yahoo for fantasy football and baseball; non-plus league, although i do purchase the statTracker add-on. i use the BB browser to go to my team pages. just sign in to my yahoo, and go to your teams. it displays real-time stats (i think only if you have statTracker), and you can edit your lineup.

btw, long-time reader on the forums, first time poster.

Just so you know pocket express has live updates for all sports. You can set up how often you want it to pull the data or just update it yourself. From what I have experienced its only about 5 mins at best behind actual game time.

Just search for "pocket express" on here or anywhere on the net.
