This may seem like a really stupid question, but how do you send a text message on the blackberry 8703e? I found a ringtone on AOL I want to download but the only way to get it is to send a text message.

Also, does anyone know where else one can go for ringtones, screensavers, apps, etc for the BB?

Text message > Message Folder > Click > Compose SMS > etc.

Ringtones are all over, try www.tuneusin.com for one.

Many more listed in the Media section of this forum.

Compose SMS only allows me to send a text message to someone in my address book. The number i want to send it to isn't in my address book.

Any ideas on that?

Or once you click your trackwheel, go to the option [use once] and type the number manually. It should work.

You will have the "use once" option at the top of the list as you scroll through the address book listing, after pressing COMPOSE SMS.
