Spoke with AT&T at 11:00 am CST. Confirmed the issue. Said it may also start affecting voice calls as well. Said they have no ETA for the repair. Supposedly limited to the Texas area. I can also confirm it is affecting iPhone data as well. I have 3 iPhone users and they are down as well.
Well looks like they just came back up! All of my users are now functional as of 2:23 PM CST. No soft reset or battery pull required. Everything just started flowing!
Due to a cable cut, some AT&T customers in South Texas are currently not able to access data services from their wireless devices. All voice services are operating normally. AT&T technicians are at the site of the cable cut at this time, and will work to have this issue resolved as soon as possible. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
Just got off the phone with AT&T. After a reset, the data services came back up. It appears to be working in Austin, TX. I just got all of my messages dumped to the phone and am able to use the browser.

40 Blackberries, 7 Windows Mobile PDA's all on BES or ActiveSync, all in the Austin area, all still currently down as of 2:35 CST as far as data service goes. Voice still operational on all devices....
I am seeing sporadic recovery. I have 2 in Austin that are still down but 3 are up. 1 in Dallas up 2 still down. 9 in Hosuton are up 1 still down. All on the same account, device, plan etc. The only thing I can say is it looks like it may be trying to come up but still not %100 up. Seems like Battery Pulls and Soft Resets are not helping either...
On the phone with BIS/Sprint; RIM is reporting a problem but no "official" outage. Tech also said most calls are from TX area but seems to be a nationwide issue. RIM says to wait a few hours and try to log in and resend books if needed.
Just confirmed with ATT that they are experiencing wide spread email outages. My email has gone undelivered since ~9am PST and I am unable to access my ATT Blackberry home page.
ATT does not know when the problem will be resolved.
