A couple days ago I put my Storm aside and bought a Motorola DROID. Now that is a solid phone with a sexy-as-hell screen. But that Android OS, to me, was way too convoluted as opposed to the BlackBerry OS. While I've become less and less enthused with their latest OS, and the shortcomings of the Storm, I still find it better than Google's Android. But, to each his own.

Still holding out hope for the Windows 7 phones.

Personally I think (just from videos) that the Windows Phone 7 os looks very chaotic. I have use the Zune HD and I don really like the user interface.
While I agree that the blackberry OS is kinda dated now I find it very organized and once you know that menus are the place to look for answers its a great experience.
I hope they keep that philosophy in their next OS along with new looks and layouts

welcome back i have tired all the phones out there and still end up on my storm. the only way windows 7 will catch up to apple is to come up with a stream line OS and have it more icon driven have an option where u can go to advance mode and have menus or simple mode where it is only icons like an iphone . one of the main issues with windows 7 i think will be it will need some serious amount of power and memory. which will kill performance. i guess the fashion business is differnt from the cell phone business i guess u can copy something and change a few things and call it yours,

Window's has never been known for having the best user interface (most likely never will) and though the BB looks dated, its incredibly functional and a productive device overall... for what its worth

i agree with you on the fact the it is somewhat dated but it def does the job flawless. as a communcation device outside the office i would say there is no equal to the blackberry .

I got a company windows phone and could not get used to it. I ended up with a Blackberry and am much happier.

I tried the Storm before I went with the Droid. I really like the Droid but miss the Blackberry so I'm planning to switch back to BB when the Tour2 is released. Droid has many nice features but it just feels more like a gimick than a solid dependable device for the long haul. Not really sorry I tried it but looking forward to returning to BB. (Sort of like being on vacation. No matter how great it is, always good to be home.)

I agree that the BB O/S is a little outdated, especially when it comes to the Storm2. It seems like they are only scratching the surface of its capabilites. BB basically took the same O/S they use on all their phones and made it "fit" in a touchscreen; which really deserves its own O/S version, but will probably never happen. That being said, if they would just get that great browser and the ability to talk and surf the web at the same time incorporated into their O/S, I think most of us would be happy.

That has nothing to do with the OS. It is a limitation of the CDMA network currently. Look at The Bold, Bold 2 and any other GSM 3G BlackBerrys. They can do this without issue. Why, because they're on GSM 3G not CDMA.

I don't get it when AT&T commercials try to promote being able to talk and surf the web at the same time as being such a big deal. I have yet to ever have such a need. I'm already happy as is.

It may not be a need for you, but I can see where it would be useful. Like when your boss emails you while you're on a call. You can get the email instantly instead of waiting for the call to end. Now, imagine you were on a call with Customer Service or Tech Support. You could be on that call for an hour (easily). That means no email coming to you for an hour or more.
