Jeremy,

What is the size of this device? Similar to the curve?

Looks like its in between pearl and curve as far as size...could just be the angle though. Multiplayer gaming...Halo 3 on a BB would consume my life.

Think I may have found my next Berry. I was wondering when a "next gen" Curve may emerge.

I agree...to me, simply due to the keyboard, this looks better to me than the Bold by far. The Bold has that 8800 model keyboard (albeit rumored to be improved) but I really couldn't stand the keyboard on my 8830. I Pearl rips it by comparison.

The Curve (and now the Javelin) seem like the best balance of full QWERTY and usability in form factor. Home run here.

Girion, I was likely one of the most critical of the 8800's keyboard and I must say that I love the Bold's keyboard. Not as much as the Curve, but it's fairly close.

So basically the only difference between this and the bold is the keyboard, correct?

It has a higher resolution - 480x360 (Javelin) vs 480x320 (Bold). Whether that equates into 'bigger' physical dimensions would have to be determined looking at the comparison pictures.

Jibi,

Am impressed by the 'look' of the JAVELIN keyboard as shown in the images of this device. The keys appear to have more space between them compared to the BB Bold. Assuming this is the case, would typing be easier and faster on the Javelin? If so, would you say it's enough to make a noticeable and worthwhile difference?

It's getting tougher and tougher to make an intelligent decision relative to upgrading form a Curve to a Javelin.

Thanks for the clarification....

The following also seems to suggest that the screen is larger : Javelin Update #2: Twelve New Photos! | BlackBerryNews.com

So if the Javelin screen is larger is the device larger than the Bold even?
