Default mobile internet and email problems on a second hand device.

Please Login to Remove!

Hi guys,

I have recently baught a bold 9000 second hand.

It was on the orange network originally but was also unlocked. Although I am using an Orange PAYG simcard with a bb data package add on.

The BBM service is working and so does msn (even when I am not connected to WIFI) but I am unable to register the handset at BlackBerry Internet Service it says:

This BlackBerry(R) device is not registered with your wireless service provider.
Please register this device and verify that the URL of the current web site matches
the one provided by your wireless service provider.

I have done the options> advanced options> host routing table>register now, and recieved the message saying the device has been registered but I still get the "This is a WIFI service. Please ensure your device has an active WIFI connection and try again.

I have also done options > advanced options > browser but there is only one option and that is hotspot browser.

If anyone could help i would be eternally grateful this has been driving me nuts every day since I got it and cost me lots of 25p's calling orange customer service!

Thanks.

Sounds to me like you first need to make sure that you have a Blackberry data plan and that it is actually added to your account and activated properly. And then you need to have the carrier resend the service books.

Do that and post the results here.

Ok thanks guys, I'll call them in the morning and post the results asap.

I was told today that I had the BB data plan attached to my handset. But I will check again!

Cheers.

Its still not working. Feels like im just missing something really simple.

Just another but of information i forgot to add. When I go to Status the imei numer the phone shows me is different to the one under the battery!

Not sure if thats relevant I'm just trying to give as much info as possible.

there is problem when the imei numbers do not match. Contact the seller and ask for a refund.
