Has anyone had any luck using BBscreen on BB 8830?
Thus far I can’t make it work.

The problem is not BBScreen, but the javaloader.exe and code signing.
It is not allowed to take a screen capture from the device. I was told that a future update of the device OS will correct this problem. Nothing we can do about but wait.

Exactly this is the problem.
As I said, we need to wait until RIM releases an OS update or another version of javaloader.exe.

This could be related to a new policy setting in the 4.2.2 OS.
The BES 4.1.4 allows to set the "enable screenshot" policy.

But I can't test this, I do not have a 8300...

I have just received a new Curve from O2 UK with OS v4.2.2.114 (Platform 2.4.0.53) & have sucessfully used BBScreenShooter 1.50c to take a screengrab from the Curve.

BBScreenStream 0.87b works too!

Updated: I've obtained the OS update from O2 UK but I had to email them to ask where I could get it from. They gave me details of their FTP site and they gave me a password specific to the company I work for. I was able to use this OS update executable to upgrade my Curve to OS v4.2.2.114 (Platform 2.4.0.53)

I still don't have any of the new devices, but I heard at least the Curve works with the latest OS and the latest javaloader.
