Red face Internet Connection

Please Login to Remove!

Let me start out by saying that I am very new to the Blackberry phone. I have a 8330 and I cannot connect to the internet anymore. When I try to connect it keeps saying requesting and then finally times out and says to contact my service provider. What can be causing this problem? Forgive my ignorence, but please answer in laymans terms. Thanks in advance!

Is EDGE in Capitals? Try a battery pull with the device on.

Also, can you tell us what application (or icon) you are launching to view the internet, and finally if you have the device through work and potentially BES, or on your own making it a BIS linked device.

If an 8330 says "EDGE", then they REALLY have a problem... It's a CDMA only device.

ernhrts3n8 - what does the BB display on the top row, right hand side of the display?

Forgive me, but I have no idea what you are asking me. The only question that I can answer is that I am using the blue earth icon to enter the internet. \

Also, can anyone tell me where I can go and look to see what the definitions of some of the icons are that are on my sent or received email messages? I get what looks like a blue clock a lot of the times for sent messages.

Yes, thank you, my internet works now. Now for the other question, any idea where I can find a list of the differnet icons on the phone?

Your probably going to have to contact your wireless service provider and have them do a soft reset while they "refresh your data plan". That works but if it doesn't they would have to do a hard reset and if that doesn't work, replace the device.

Wirelessly posted (Sex Machine)

Look at the manual that your carrier provided with your BB. That usually shows all the usual icons on your screen and their meanings.

Cheers!
