Default 7100G Connect to PC via BT?

Please Login to Remove!

I know with the 7100T you are unable to connect it to the PC using bluetooth.

Was this something that only is on the T model or do all the 7100s have this issue?

I would like to get a 7100G with Cingular but if I cannot connect to the PC via Bluetooth I think I will hold off.

Thanks
Ryan

Rim has disabled BT sync.

The only function available is BT Headset and BT handsfree. You could pair you BB to a PC but other than those two functions your out of luck.

7100[t/r/g/x/v] are all the same, they only *look* different.

I am pretty sure that the 7100 series is unable to exchange data via bluetooth, thus making it not able to connect to the PC or Macs via bluetooth.

The buetooth feature is only setup to support voice data such as headsets and cars bluetooth sets.

Well, I have thought of holding off like you for the 7100 series but I just couldn't resist and now I am hooked on my BB.

Hope this helps!

The only bluetooth feature available on your PC using your BB is Audio Gateway. It allows you to hear phone conversations from your BB through the speakers on your computer. If you have a mic set up, you can use that to talk. It's like having a phone installed onto your computer. Other than that, there are no other bluetooth features that work with your PC.

A T-Mobile BB tech told me the latest software upgrade supports using the BB as a Bluetooth modem. This is contrary to what I've read here but perhaps you can call and press them for more details.
