Exclamation Jawbone and the Storm

Please Login to Remove!

I have the new Jawbone. I have one issue and that is after making several calls using Voice Dialing, the Storm hangs up. I get a screen that says "Initializing please wait". and the phone locks up. Then it is a battery pull to clear the issue.

Anyone have any ideas? This is a second Storm and the same problem.

this is the best bluetooth that I have had to date. It really cancels out the all background noise so I can be heard. Worth the $'s

Don't waste your money. It's very uncomfortable and sounds horrible. The quality is tinny and distorted.
I tried 2 of the 3 earpieces and they don't fit correctly. I finally settled for the large ear piece to try and keep it 'sealed' in my ear just so I could hear better.
I mostly use it on the highway and it just does not sound good. If I talk to my wife while she is on her jawbone connected to the storm, I can hardly hear her.
My plantronics fits better, feels better and sounds better.
Just my $.02.

Hate the Jawbobe 2 at first due the fitting issues until I tried their new Beta rubber for
$ 4.95 at a Verzion Store. So far its been the best and return my Plantronis.
Just my 2 cents

What's the Beta rubber? What's wrong with the other ones? Ear too small, too big? Also, the only negative thing I've heard of this is problem with the ear thingys. Is that all.?

I just finished looking at the Jawbone website. In the support area they state that there is a problem with Blackberry and Jawbone locking up. The solution is a battery pull. Now I hope they are working on a fix for this. I hate a battery pull, if is a 4 minute process for me to get back my BB operational.

for the average user...
i have an original jawbone...noise cancellation works, but only when the sensor is touching your cheek. provided that the thing goes on your ear comfortably in the first place....
imho, don't spend more than 60 bucks for a bt headset, unless you've tried the jawbone/jawbone 2 and it fits and feels perfect....
for the pro...
look into etymotic headsets

Drummer Boy,

The most common and consistent complaint about the Jawbone (I have the first version) has always been and seem to remain "fit". Hey, everyone is different and the fit makes or breaks the device as the contact with your cheek (jawbone) is crucial to the function.

The sound is unmatched in my BT experience. I have even experimented on my own using the Voice Notes. I recorded myself talking on the JB and narrated what I was doing, turning up the music, opening the window, closing the window, turning the music down, talking with someone else sitting in the car. All the time the only sound that showed up on the recording was mine. I would say that the other ambient noises were reduced by a good 90%. I don't have scientific measurements I just have my opinion.

It was as good as I could expect a BT headset to be.

Again, just IMO. My only complaint was that the first gen JB had a rather odd proprietary charger. I don't know about the current gen.

Good luck.

In the first gen no one ever told me how to remove the JB from the charger and I went through two JB's. In the new one it is a magnetic connection and works great.

As to sound, I had the MOTO BT and when I was at a convention, I could not be heard on the other end of my conversation because of the background noise, With the 2nd gen of the JB I am heard loud and clear.

Thanks everybody for helping me out. I saw it on craiglist for 65 bucks brand new. What I decided to do was buy it at Best Buy. I talked to the sales guy about me reading a lot of reviews online and that 95% of them said they had fitting issues...he said, "no problem, if it doesn't fit u or u don't like it, just return it for a full refund. So I bought it, 140 out with tax...tried it...and loved it, and then returned it....lol...the jawbone is worth buying, but I really don't think its worth at all 120 dollars...no way, even if I hadn't seen it on craiglist for 65 bills...just my opinion...but I have it now...its awesome....oh yah...and it fits me great...like really great...thanks for helping me out guys...
