Better screen display drivers = more space
Wifi & GPS = more space
actual algorithms for a 3g device I imagine would also take up more space.
Higher resolution pictures = more space
RIM's secret spy software that keeps a tab on how much porn you look at on your BB = Pricesless ....

Wait... what? lol... Was that a VISA Commercial :S? It ended the same way, but all the rest? God I'm tired. it's 2:36 AM. Sept 8th for Vodafone (Spain). I can't wait. Goodnight.

I just downloaded 2.2.3 to try it and it worked. In Help > About/Info it lists: Version: 2.2.3 (#2215)
Platform: Blackberry-9000_v4.2

Since I first looked at it, it has now pinpointed where I am and I can see me waving out of my back window

Hope this helps.

You should till have the 1Gb on your phone, the memory everyone is mentioning is whats left of the 128Mb Program memory

I don't think the program has got a GPS lock. Google Maps will show 1700m when it is only using Cell sites to figure out your location.

How did you delete the languages? I've tried Application Loader in Desktop Manager but it doesn't show any of the standard BB modules - only the applications that I've installed. The old DM 4.5 used to show everything installed on the BB. DM 4.6 doesn't.

Thanks

im in the process of removing all the languages also, it seems to come preloaded with almost every language known to man kind

atm, free mem with teh languages, is sitting at 22mb. exactly the same as my 8820.
viigo, beejive, todomatrix and gmaps.

Delete (or move) the vendor.xml in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader.

I used the setup wizzrd to remove unneeded languages. After a battery pull, I've got 41 MB free. Only app I've installed is Windows Live messenger. There does seem to be a memory leak as the 41mb will reduced to about 25mb after a day of moderate use. Reboot and I'm back at 41 MB.

Installed Handheld software 4.6 from provider. This will then give you the options to remove pre-installed apps.If you cant get your providers software locate anothers. Install. Rename vendor.xml and away you go.
