Default Cingular blackberry tech support...

Please Login to Remove!

Hey, does anyone know whats the phone number to call for Cingular Blackberry technical support? I have tried 800-331-0500 but never found the option to reach to Blackberry Technical Support. The Customer Service Rep keeps sending me to a wrong deptartment -- RIM 95X Mobitex network tech support and they dont handle blackberry 7280 or 7290.

You need to call your own operator. They provide the technical support and should have a data support department.

When I signed up for the Blackberry plan, they told me that when I call their regular customer serivce line, after typing in my phone number I would receive a quick prompt saying "press 1 for blackberry support". Well, I had to call them several times on Friday and it worked. I'm guessing if you do not yet have blackberry service from Cingular you may be SOL. It sounds like the only way to reach them is if you have service.

I usually call 866-506-5889, then hit option 6(tech support), and then option 1 will take you to Mobitext, option 2 to GPRS

I used to get the "press 1 for Blackberry technical support" as soon as I entered my mobile number. Not today. And I've called 3 times and been transferred to the wrong department when I ask for Bberry support. Stinks.

Give 866-969-2033 a shot. My rep gave me that number yesterday. I haven't called it yet though.

No luck. You get a recording telling you to try 611.

I used to be able to reach tech support through the customer service number, prompting me for blackberry technical support. However, i also have noticed that that option is no longer available, what gives????

The only problem with 611 is that if you have to turn off your BB during the fix you are out of luck because you are on it.

The person I got on the line with gave me a number to call should that need arise. I suggest that if they don't when you call, ask them to provide you with one.

Regardless of carrier, here's what I do. I get the first flesh and blood person that I can, then the first thing I say is "please transfer me to wireless data support." Whether I'm dealing with Sprint/Nextel, T-Mobile, or Cingular that always works. Usually the people in "wireless data" have at least heard of a blackberry. Generally they know who to transfer you to (often some form of "Tier 2" carrier support for blackberry. From there if I stll have problems, the people at tier 2 can open a case with Research in Motion for me (useful if you don't have a BES with a T-Support contract from RIM).

The numbers change so often I can't keep track. The one constant I've had through the years is to ask for "wireles data support." A T-Mobile salesman told me that once, and it seems to work in must instances on most carriers regardless of the phone number you called and regardless how theri tech support divisions are set up.
