Default Separate some BES users to new satellite BES server

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I would like to separate some existing BES users from one main BES server (v 4.0/SQL server) to a new satellite BES server (4.x/SQL server), without having to re-sync and re-activate each and everyone of the users that will be moved.

At the end of the process I will have 2 independants BES servers but in same AD, with different users on each.

If the BES users are not in the same BES domain aka the same BES database it is not possible short of wiping and reactivating.

Thanks for your reply.

Sorry I forgot to mention 2 separate SQL servers.

Is this a limitation on BES or am I the first one (I hope not !) to require this kind of work?

I have 100+ users to separate and definetly don't want to wipe/re-activate them all.

Since you are running 2 differnet versions, it will knot be possible since they should knot share the same database.

You would have to have both BES servers pointing at the same database. Which means you need to bring the 4.0 server to 4.1.x. Then you can point the new server at the same database and move users between servers as you like.
