RIM.log is incomplete - shows only MemoPad

My RIM.log file for my Curve 8330 shows only the last part of the synchronization - the MemoPad. The file is located in Joyce User/Application Data/Blackberry/Intellisync/mypin/RIM.log.
Two problems 1) the RIM.log file that opens when I click "View Synchronization Log" never shows the complete synchronization history - just the memo pad history - though it does synchronize calendar, contacts, and tasks also. What can I do to get it to write the complete file? I am using Desktop Manager 5.0.1.28 (hoped it would fix the problem) and Windows XP Professional V5.1 Service Pack 3. This is probably something simple like configuring the sync program somehow, but I don't know how.
2) I can't get to the Application Data folder in my User File - can only see that folder by clicking 'open' while viewing the RIM.log file and moving up levels until I get to Application Data. I can't use Windows Explorer to find it, because it doesn't show any Application Data Folder in my user folder or in the All Users folder. Is this folder a hidden one? If so, how can I unhide it.
