This is an update to my first attempt making a theme originally posted on this thread- http://www.blackberryforums.com/medi...ock-theme.html

Following are a bunch of variations on the "Precision" theme, all for the Pearl. I fixed the "squished" icons and improved their resolution, modified the menus/backgrounds, added transparencies to some of the elements, and applied some other small fixes and improvements.

*edit 11/24/08- added Zen "L" theme! Also, removed the profiles icon from the banner in the calendar theme to allow more natural scrolling. Finally, per popular request, I updated the icon background and highlights in the application screen.

Home screen icons are customizable and "bounce" when highlighted, no carrier on the banner.

*Edit- it just occurred to me that I'm not exactly positive where the wallpaper on this theme came from. I *think* I downloaded it from the BB mobile site. That said, if someone else deserves the credit for it let me know and I'll make sure you are credited... or I can change it!

Thanks. They weren't necessarily hard to create, but it did take a lot of trial and error to get things "just right".

That's strange... I'll check it out.

Just an update- I added a Zen "L" theme! Also made a few other minor changes, see the first entry for details.

looks good, I'll install and try out and report back

one pet peeve though: the download is the two files by themselves, I would put them in a folder titled something like "precision style [zen] theme". I hate making new folders

The themes look awesome. 1 issue though, I d/l them and installed them via DM, but they do not show up in my themes area under "options".......Am I doing something wrong? I am using the 8130 Pearl on VZ....

Got it to work. I guess you have to have the other zen themes installed for these to work. By that I mean the underlying themes that come loaded with the OS.

Hi WSOD, sorry I only tested these themes on os 4.5. There are excellent, step by step instructions on upgrading here in these forums.

I'd recommend upgrading, not only for the themes, but also because your 8100 will likely function better with the upgrade. imho...
