Can anyone send pictures via email?

I only have the option for MMS and Blackberry Messenger.

I have the Rogers Unlimited Blackberry Data Plan.

You have to buy an 8100 and get it unlocked. Then you can use it on any GSM network provided you get a BlackBerry data plan.

I am also with Rogers and have an unlocked 8100. I resent my service books and when I take a picture I only have the options for send via mms or to blackberry messenger contact. There is no email option. I even restarted my blackberry afterwards too. Should I contact Rogers do you think they could help?

I always have problem with unlocked phones with Rogers network, so I'd rather wait. I'm hoping Rogers would fix up with updated firmware when they release it in two weeks.

Is Pearl worth over 8700r? I'm still contemplating to switch over from 8700r..

BTW, Rogers should have theirs in October = 8100.

I'm not sure this is appropriate but could someone PM me where they purchase their 8100 unlocked, reputable vendor please? thanks.

^ do you like the qwerty keyboard? Did you despise having a slim BlackBerry? If so the 8100 is not for you. With my big hands, I usually press the wrong button. So far it works good on the Rogers network though. No complaints really. I wish Rogers would get rid of all the black spots that I seem to find all the time.

I doubt they will be able to help. Try re-sending service books a couple of times. Also, in Advanced Options, Host Routing Table, Click on the Highlighted entry and click Register. I did that a couple of times too.

I tried that also and still I cannot send any pictures from my 8100. Is it possible to attach a picture at all in the compose email option? I checked for one but didn't see one but thought I'd ask anyways. Rogers was no help the rep I spoke to in the data department said there is no possible way I could have the new BlackBerry and basically told me call back when I am telling the truth not wasting their time. That was the WORST service I have ever had.

I resent my service books via logging into my BIS account. There is an option to resend the service books in the profiles menu.

Make sure you've upgraded to a 2.x BIS account. it won't work with the old BIS acct.

So that's why!! I am still using 1.8 if I am not mistaken. If I upgrade I will lose my @rogers.blackberry.net account though right? That's my only issue and why I am still using 1.8

I don't like the polling so I have both of my email accounts forwarded to my @rogers.blackberry.net account so I get them immediately. Is there a way to upgrade to the new BIS and keep my @rogers.blackberry.net account?

argreed thats bad.. but I am pretty sure you shouldn't be calling them for phones they dont support yet.. I would expect a silly answer but not a rude reply

yes and no...basically, when they upgrade you, they need to delete the account. But when you setup the new 2.0 account, you can recreate the @rogers.blackberry.net email account.

but you will not have access to your old emails online, only what is on your device.

I can recreate my @rogers.blackberry.net email account??!! I had no idea. I was under the impression that if I went with the new BIS I would lose my @ rogers.blackberry.net account and I would only be able to poll my emails instead of having them forwarded so I get them right away. I'm going to have to think about upgrading then calling Rogers to upgrade me if I opt for the new BIS.
