The today themes are summary screens not an applications shortcut screens. The order of what's on the screen is not configurable. When you rearrange the Organize Applications, essentially you're only configuring the applications menu. In all honesty, for most people, having the most vital apps on the home screen is just fine, but that might just be me.

Well, you have good taste. Those are my favourite icon themes too, particularly the gray and red Telstra version of Vodafone.
I assume that these are the same on the 7130 as the 8700...
I am primarily a Dimension Today guy.

Mine too. Yes, it is the new Vodafone. I have been in love with that since first seeing it on my 8700g.

I have been using Dimension Today, but have noted some bugs.

I installed it on my 7100g via the Java loader. I get JVM errors all the time and it requires a restart. Whenever I click an item on the home screen a menu saying "Get Link" or "Close" apears. Close causes an error.

Not sure why it is behaving like this, or if it is only me.

I also can't get the Vodafone today theme to even appear in the Theme list.

Thanks,

Anyone running these on a 7100g from Cingular (I guess using the T-mobile .309)? Any signs of memory leaks?

I've had the Zen memory leak on Cingular's .292 software (and the leak didn't go away after I deleted Zen, so I need to pop the battery out about once a week to avoid losing any data). I'll upgrade to T-mobile .309 if the memory leaks are gone, then get the side benefit of a few more themes...

Um... Jibi's post says they require version .309 or higher...

Im still getting a mild memory leak from Zen, but without it both today themes seam fine. Just a shame that i want sms seporated which leaves me with a memory leak (zen) or an unchangable background (voda today) or extra shortcut commands.

I did an over the air download of the vodafone today theme. It shows up as an application on my device, but not as a theme. I'd appreciate some advice on how to update this from my phone. Otherwise, I'll go ahead and follow the process laid out at the start of the thread.

Did you also download the vodafone theme? In order for the Vodafone Today theme to work you must have the Vodafone theme installed.

Thanks for the help. I downloaded this file as well over the air, and now both are showing on my device as applications. However, when I look in my themes I don't see vodafone as an option. Not sure what to do to get these to show up.

Cool

argh, I followed all the direction in post 1 on my 7100g and it appeared to work however it is now stuck on "connecting to desktop" if I pull the battery it will reboot fine but as soon as I plug it back in it again gets stuck in "connecting to desktop".

My BB desktop manager says it is disconnected, but when I hit options>connection settings>detect I get "USB handheld found. PIN: 2036EE28"

What is wrong?

What can I do?

Totally wipe it clean and reload the OS. See if that helps. (I hope you backed up your 7100 before)

ok, i don't know if anyone has, or cares to try this, but i'm now using the dimension today theme on my nextel 7100i. now let me qualify my adoration for this theme with the following statement, I HATE LIST THEMES WITH EXTREME PREJUDICE! however i am very much in love with the dimension today theme. i guess it is true that there's a thin line between love and hate.
