Default 8820 Dialing on it's own

Please Login to Remove!

My BB 8820 has started dialing numbers in my phone book all by itself.
It doesn't seem to matter if I lock the keyboard or not, nor does it seem to matter if I put the phone into standby, it still places calls all by itself.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Did it happen to get wet or damp?
The 8820 is pretty old...

Nope.
Nice and dry.
I like it because of the LACK of camera. It is very hard to find a smartphone without a camera.

Getting wet or damp is about the only thing I can think of that would make it do this. I have heard that you can put your phone in a bag of rice and it will dry it out. Might be worth trying just to see.

Moisture is what I'm thinking, too.

Be aware people have reported symptoms from carrying the blackberry in a sweaty pocket, condensation in a foggy shower room, or condensation from leaving air conditioning to the hot and humid outdoors.

My God I hope I'm not that sweaty!

I gave up.
I got another 8820 (no camera is a big deal), and it seems to be working fine.
Where can I check for the wet phone indicators?

Thanks to all that came up with ideas.
