HI, I'm a BB newbie so please bear with me!

After loading the update Latest OS: 8700 4.5.0.294/4.5.0.174 (Multilanguage) onto my 8700 which is on Orange PAYG in the UK (Was locked to o2 contract before I had it unlocked), I find that:-

I have no browser icon. However when I open an app, press the scroll wheel and switch to the browser it says:-

"Your Device does not currently have any Browser Configuration Service Book entries.

Please Contact....etc"


Secondly, when trying to compose an e-mail I get:-

"No message services configured. You will only be able to save draft"

Please can one of you kind folks advise what I have done incorrectly?

I am receiving SMS messages OK from my provider, but no e-mail whatsoever.

Have you performed a register now?

Options - Advanced Options - Host Routing Table - PRess Trackball in - Register Now.

Yes have done that, no joy.

Service provider claims that 5.5.0.75 is best version?

Have you done a hard reset? Best bet is to downgrade to the second most recent and hope that works. If not, go to v4.5.0.75.

Do you have the blackberry data service plan? Can you even get the blackberry data plan with PAYG? You must have it to be able to use the blackberry browser and message functions. Talk to your service provider. It is not free.
