Default Storm Is So Slow Any Tips?

Please Login to Remove!

My bb storm 9530 was acting fine until today it started acting very odd...it usually keeps up with me when typing even with I started moving ahead...not it takes a million years to get one word typed in. I know the storm is suppose to be slow I understand that but this is definately not normal!!

Check to see if you have any unnecessary applications running in the background.

Wirelessly posted (Its All About the U!)

Which OS build are you using?

Also do a battery pull.

What OS are you running? Also like the previous post suggests, it may be time for a battery pull. I run a .114 hybrid OS andno lag at all.

Do most legit applications run on version hybrids? I'm running .75 right now, and looking to upgrade..but I'm kind of scared to mess up all the settings i've tweaked.

Your right. Some apps won't work with beta apps...but u can upgrade...try and see if they work..if they don't...just downgrade back to .75. If u dont mind me asking, what apps do u have on your Storm right now?

Everybody has to start somewhere ... I've been running beta OS's since about week after release... I haven't seen any issues from the software that I've installed. .114 is my first hybrid and no gripes with 1 week of use so far

Out of your list, I have facebook, and google maps. No issues with those two. I had office to go, but it wasn't made for the storm(I brought it over from my 8830). I prefer docs to go premium...

yeah, tbh, i dont even see myself using office to go on the storm...thats why i have a laptop. I think I'll try the .109 upgrade tonight. Can I go straight to it from .75?

Yes you can, although if you go .112 or higher you'll get the new "select" feature which is very nice. Still doing great on the .114 hybrid.

Although I don't have all those apps u listed, I'm willing to test the ones u do have problems with on my Storm to let u know if u should get any surprises on .114hybrid when u upgrade.
