I honestly don't know what to do.

I'm leaning towards just returning the blessed thing.

I've not had that problem with my 7130c, perhaps you've got a flash memory problem with it - in any event I'd trade it for a new one. I switched yesterday from an 8700, and actually couldn't be more thrilled with the 7130 so far. It's at least a 1/4" more narrow, maybe more, which makes it fit my hand perfectly. I don't get sore wrists anymore trying to hold it at the right angle to my face when using it... The suretype keyboard seems to me to work excellently - much better than ANY T9 implementation I've ever seen. Even is smart enough to allow for passwords and usernames that are outside the dictionary. I miss the width of the 8700c's screen a bit - but web browsing and page rendering are fast, as is scrolling, so I'm not going to fret that.

Why Cingular/RIM decided on the color scheme like that, who can guess. I don't like the smoky-grey color very much, but it is a very sexy and un-pretentious phone which makes it a winner in my book. Many people will never guess that you have anything but a nifty little phone on your hip - but I know what that little phone is capable of. Good Stuff.

Peace all,
Stac

stac, how many third party applications have you installed?

FYI, not one to give up I decided to WIPE the device and reload the OS.

Now everything's working fine except for the fact that I seemed to have lost the tasks aapplication. It's not a big deal to me really since I don't it but it makes me wonder what else didn't get loaded.

Edit - I was able to get tasks back.

LG - I have the following installed:

Bloglines, Berry411, Google Maps, Spider Solitaire, Bass Assassin, Texas Hold'em King 2, Opera Mini, RambleIM... so far, that is... all installed OTA...

I read you swapped your handset and ran into more problems? Bad luck, dude. Did you unlock that one as well? Perhaps the problem has something to do with the unlocking process? Just a thought.

Well I've got 19 third party apps installed and they all seem to be working okay.

BB Messenger
Verichat
Free News
Google Maps
Pocket Day Pro
Pocket Day Sports
Mini Safe
GMAIL Mobile
BB 411
BB Weather
Medievil Chess Kings 2
Next
Card Games Pack 1
Mahjong Solitaire
Pro Golf Paradise
Disco Bowling
Dope Wars
Bass Assassin

And with that I'm going to stop. At least I know I can get around the errors by simply reloading the OS. It's just a pain waiting for the load (takes 15 minutes) and then having to do the Enterprise Activation each time after (cabled activation doesn't always work 100%.)

For now I'll keep it.

P.S. The replacement is not unlocked yet.

It seems I've fixed this issue. Or that is RIM has.

For some reason I had support for every language installed on my 7130c. Apparantly Blackberry's can old hold 250 .cod files. Since each language has multiple modules associated with it that may have been causing the issue.

I've removed all the languages and am now able to load apps.

Are you using the 7130 or the 8700? I have you on my BB Messenger as using the 8700.

Hmm. I had this issue a couple of times, on my just bought 7130c.

I noticed in the Remove Apps section, that HUGE list of languages. I didn't want to start deleting the stock programs, cause I didn't know what it would do, but now I'm going to.

I'm American, of course I only speak English...

EDIT: I realze I'm ressurecting an old thread, but I guess I'll just keep going.

I deleting all of the languages, and installed another game, which was previously giving me this error.

It seems to have fixed the issue.

Thanks for this thread.

I must of posted it another thread but you got it.

The way to get rid of the error is to remove all the extra languages. The Blackberry can only hold 250 .cod files.

Each of those language packs contains several .cod files. For some reason the 7130c comes with all those languages presinstalled.

Yeah, another thing is interesting.

I left the Spanish language on there, but deleted everything else. I tried to install a game this morning, and got that error again. I deleted Spanish, and then the game worked fine.

What other Apps are language files? I see something called:

"BlackBerry Korean Ch... 4.1"

Since it's cut off, I don't really know what it is. Do you know if that's okay to delete?

Thanks.

I'd say it's good to be deleted.

Ah, I got to see what it was when I selected it for deleting.

It's "BlackBerry Korean Characters and Font Support"

I guess I really don't need that...

What is so great ,besides it is a littler less wideness, that would cause people to switch from an 8700?

I don't know that anything is that great that you'd switch. I like it because it's my first BB, and I don't want to carry around a huge brick in my pocket. I can't get used to using holsters, so I want a small pocketable device.
