I have forgotten my device password for my old 7290 - which I want to give to a friend. Went through 7 attempts to try and remember it. I know something bad happens after 10 failed attempts. How can I resolve this issue? I no longer use this device, since i have upgraded to a 8700. Any ideas?

It will wipe everything after 10 tries. It's ok to do this.
