Now available for download. Haven't had a chance to try it myself but supposedly tab browsing is one of the features.
Correction: Opera Mini 5 beta.

To download the beta point your BB Browser to m.opera.com/next

This is a nice-looking browser. Unfortunately it installed itself as the default browser (without asking), and I cannot find a way to remedy that short of uninstalling it. You still can't past a URL into the box if you want/need to. The escape key does not exit the application - you have to hit the Berry key, roll the trackball all the way to the right to the little icon, click on that, THEN hit a confirmation box to exit. Ridiculous. Lots of bells and whistles, but basic functions still either messed up or missing. A visit to the 'Settings' menu reveals nothing of assistance. Unreal.

Keep in mind, this is still a beta.
I like the fact that when entering text, it doesn't take you to a text box, as the previous versions have. You do have to click on the text field but you can still see the page as you enter text.

Agreed, this is a big improvement. Still need to be able to paste a long URL into the box, though. That's a huge hole, and the main reason I've stayed away from Opera in the past.

I agree that is an issue I would like to see resolved as well. However, in 4.2 you can paste a link. Click on the URL and delete the www. that is there, then select insert symbol. It will bring you to a text box and from there you can paste your link.
It is tricky but can be done.

BTW is the text field/box formatted any differently? For example, with the BBF wap site the text box covers less than half the width of my phone's screen. I actually got used to having a separate window to enter text because I could actually see all the text I was entering.

You can paste! I discovered via dumb luck on my 8330 that when you're in a text field, press the W key and it shows a menu for Copy Cut Paste. I didn't see any help entries for this.
Oh, and if you select a speed dial entry and select W you get a menu to edit or clear it, and if it's not set an option to assign it.
Overall, it's a nice improvement. The UI is a bit slower because of all the new bling, but if you can learn more of the shortcut keys it saves time and makes the slower UI bearable.

I had the same issue, I went to the download site and redownloaded the software again, seemed to fix the issue.

Has anyone found out how to page up/down now? I loved the old 2/8 key to do it, but it seems like those try to open up speeddial entries. Space bar doesn't work either.

It still doesn't do animated images for things like radar loops, though :(

How did you delete a thumbnail entry? Put another on top?

Note, I'm on a curve, but I'd guess it works the same on a Tour. No clue about storm.
On the speed dial screen, I rolled the trackball to highlight the entry I wanted to replace. Then I pressed the W/1 key on my keyboard. This is some sort of menu key that Opera supports. When a speed dial entry is assigned the little menu shows Edit and Clear. When it's not assigned the menu shows Assign.

Also what is "inline editing"? I turned it off to see what has changed. Noticed the dubble space period works and it fixed the backspace issue.
