I must say, it is the nicest OEM case that I've seen for any model of BB.

The fit is perfect.

Which way are you supposed to put the phone in it? Glass toward your body?

It fits either way... Screen turns off either way. So, maybe it doesn't really matter.

If it does work both ways, that's great. I don't use a case myself ( shirtpocket is my deal). I always thought it would be a bit awkward having to have the device face you in the case to get it to have the screen shut off as expected...

Mine faces in so that when I pull it out, my Torch is ready to use. There is no rule. The OEM leather holster or pocket case magnets align properly to manage battery life more effectively.

Good call, this is one of the 2 reason for having my Berry "screen facing body" at all times while in the holster.


My second reason is for pure proctection. If you were have something (object, walk into a counter, etc) impact your phone while in the case, you would rather have it impact the back of the phone, rather then the front glass / lense. ;)


Other than that, excited for my demo Torch to land soon. I passed on the 9700 units, and have been using my white 9000 for way too long.

i put my torch facing out using the slip on OEM sleeve, this way i can see my indicator who's calling or sending message(using beebuzz)

Glass in for protection ...... Gut is too big to see little led when flashing in the case no matter which way its facing. Lol

Agree with face in. Every holster I've had would properly hold the BlackBerry either way, but face in seems more protected to me, and the device is ready in the hand when removed from the holster.
