Good thing this has been brought up. I have an extended battery/door kit on my 7105t and for the life of me can't get the door off the back to perform a reset. Any ideas other than doing a soft reset?

What is your definition of a hard reset.

If you want to wipe out the entire OS, you need to download Javaloader and follow the well documented process (search for Javaloader) for wiping out the BB.

If you want to reset a 7100/7105, you will have to pop the battery out. Sorry Erica. No other way.

Thanks. I'll just hope nothing happens to it and if it does, that'll be my excuse to upgrade LOL

what is it that you exactly wanna do? reinstall a new OS or something. removing battery &putting it back will just soft reset your device not a hard reset.

Erica,
The battery door on the 7105t is tricky. I usually take a pen and press in the center latch - then use a thumb to slide down the plastic door panel. Not worth breaking a nail!

What are you trying to do? To wipe out the customer data, go into Options / Security / General Settings, click the wheel and select "Wipe Handheld".

Yes, that will erase all data on the handheld and re-register the device. However, the only thing I noticed is that Google Map still resides even I do hand-held wipe.
