Default Odd problem with email accounts icons

Please Login to Remove!

Greetings,

Today I took my 8700c with Cingular Service and clicked on Personal Email Set Up to add an account. It asked if I wanted to upgrade my internet service. I figured it was an OS upgrade (I don't know better) and it ended up putting an icon on the blackberry for every single email account I have going to it. So now I have my mail, then 6 folders for 6 different email accounts and then the normal icons that I'm used to.

How in the world do I fix this and why did it happen?

Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated. I'm new to the blackberry and could definitely use your expertise!

To hide the extra icon, highlight it with your trackwheel and click on it and the ALT key. This brings up a menu of choices. Click on "Hide Icon." Repeat for every icon you want to hide.

Try

Options (maybe via settings depending on your OS-Theme)
Home screen
Organize Aplications
Select the icon you want.
Track Wheel
Hide Application

Hmmm...this works on my Bharti Theme. Not if I switch to the normal Cingular Theme. The above instructions are correct for the cingular theme....the ones that EricaJ1074 posted.

Did you hold down the "alt" key and press the trackwheel in.

I have a 7100t on T-mobile service. I have one BES e-mail account and one personal one. After having hodden, not deleted) the personal e-mail icon, I have decided to re-surface it to sperate e-mails from the two repective accounts. My personal e-mail still goes to my ?messages" icon, though...any fix, or am I out of luck?

Thanks in advance.

You are pretty much out of luck. The messages icon was setup to bring in all messages. The only thing that you could do is setup a filter for the messages box.
