I know it comes with OS 4.7, but do we know what kind of processor is going to be in the 9500? I saw somewhere it'll have a 624Mhz processor, but i don't remember where and it was only mentioned on the one site.

i would imagine that it would be fairly similar to the bold in regards to hardware such as the processor and memory minus whatever Verizon wants to take out or did not want built in, i.e wifi.

If it is Bold-based then I'd expect to see a combination touch-qwerty version available in both the traditional and slide-out form factor all in short order. Which would be exciting as all sin.

numerous sites have confirmed for weeks that there is no slide out keyboard hiding behind the screen based on sources with hands on experience.

crackberry posted an article today saying the keyboard is suretype in portrait and full qwerty in landscape and that you can use it either way at any time. this rings true with other postings from around the web.

Most ridiculously optimistic estimates are August (not likely)
Somewhat ridiculous September (I'm guessing not)
"Planned" release November (I'm hoping)

And then some people are thinking it will slide to after the Holidays.

I hope this isn't the case. I want full qwerty while holding it with one hand!

I have read on several sites that the thunder will have wi-fi, work on CDMA and GSM, have a greater than 2.0 megapixel camera, support visual voicemail, have web-browsing capabilities equal to the iphone, have a higher screen resolution than the iphone, and have a glass screen that utilizes multi-touch technology. Now I'm no genius when it comes to technology and I realize that nobody knows very much at this point but how much of this is rumor and how much is confirmed and/or believed to be true?

if all that is true, I want it. Though I think that the keyboard needs to be a tiny bit smaller when held horizontally. Or even make like a slide-out keyboard but still touch-screen, that'd be cool.

WI-FI? REally?!?!? What about GPS??!?! DISABLED AGAIN?!?! VZNAV doesn't even uses satelite, They use cell sites to trianglate. SO you can't say VZnavigator IS a GPS system when you can't use it globally? AM I not correct?

This is probably just a troll but...
GPS isn't completely disabled. You can only use it with VZNav. and no, VZNav does not use cell towers.

Actually as it was explained to me by a couple of Verizon reps the VZNav uses both the phone GPS and cell towers to make the location more accurate than with either opition by itself. I was also told that since it is a service you can do a one day activation or month by month without affecting your contract dates. I was very against it until discussing it with them now seems like I might use if for my next trip...
