Default Address book and Lotus Notes

Please Login to Remove!

I am not able to get the contacts that were transfered from a previous phone to the handheld device. The contacts are not stored on the SIM card, they do show up in the address book on the device. I am using wireless synch for the address book, the device has the latest software, and the desktop manager does also. I can get the contacts to synch up with iNotes and the device with no problem, but the contacts will not show up in Lotus Notes address book. Has anyone come across this problem, and found a reliable solution?

Wirelessly posted (Thumpers 8700c: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry8703e/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

I think Notes can potentially have multiple address books. Make sure in DM that the file you're synching your contacts to is the corrent Notes address file.

I've had this problem in the past, though we are still doing wired syncs of our address books with the blackberry.

The problem lied with us in the Notes.ini not registering properly to the correct names.nsf file.

As you're doing a wireless sync, I would suggest hitting up your IT BES support and getting them to fix the problem.

Not sure I follow you fully, but are you performing Actions / Synchronize Address Book via Notes client? This will sync your local names.nsf to server copy of mail file, which is in turn wirelessly syncd with BB (along with e-mail). Upon using Action / Sync... you'll get a dialog box showing exactly what was syncd.

Hope this helped - Regards
