Question one BESX server - Multiple domains?

Please Login to Remove!

Ola People,

I was wondering.
I now have finally a BESX server running like it should.

Now i'm wondering.. Can't i "host" more then one domainname on this server?

before our company already had several BB's, but they where supported by a third-party company, we had with them a monthly contract so we paid them a fee. Now i wan't to know how they could support several/multiple domains on their BES.

Something that can be very usefull for our company since we have 5 different domainnames and so i can allow more users to use their BB on different domains.

I'm curious...

I believe this is possible, you add the domains to exchange server. keeping in mind that you can only have one exchange/besx acct per bb/outlook. You can have many domains (as aliases) per each account, going into the same mail box. Hope this makes sense.

BES will always send out using the primary address.

the BES will always send email with the primary address of the mailbox - like CanuckBB said.
However you can add as many internet domain names you like to the Exchange server - so, receiving mail for different domains is not a problem. If you want to be able to send from a different domain name from the device, you have to setup the other accounts as BIS accounts.

Dont mix up internet domain names and windows Active Directory domains. The BES will only connect to one Active directory domain.
