Problem with user receiving emails

I have about 20 users on a BES and have this particular problem only with one. And of course its the CEO.
We are using BES to sync email, contacts and calendar. We initiated this in November. The problem currently is that whenever the CEO changes his network password, his 9530 stops getting his emails. This is the 3rd time he's changed his password since we went to the BES and each time his emails stopped. He continues have his calendar and contacts up to date. Until installing the BES, we used the Blackberry Internet Service to send emails to his device.
I've made sure that his BIS no longer has an email address associated with it and have found no suggestions on how to change this.
I looked at his account on the BES, he is set to sync.
Are there any suggestions as to what kind of issue may be causing this behavior? I'd prefer to find out why its happening rather than just having to delete his account from the BES and reactivate, again.
