When I send a PIN to either of two people on Sprint I will receive a Delivery confirmation but not the Read confirmation once they have opened it.

Curiously, if I sent the message through BBM I will receive both the Delivered and Read confirmations. Is there a setting on their phones that will allow them to send Read confirmations on PIN messages?

I don't think that there is.

Wavester, on PIN messaging, you only get the D-Delivered, not the R-Read indication.
You get both on BBMessenger.

You may be right. I seem to remember it at one time, although I don't know if it was BES or just an option where the BBM messages posted in the main mailbox. Thanks

I'm right on this one -- on PIN messages only the D.

BBMessenger does have the D and the R.
