Do you know if as soon as we use the Rogers BIS, they do know that we are a BB user.

I'm asking that because they have a mobile internet plan, in their wireless essentiel, for 5$ including 2MB. So i'm wondering if I would be able to use the BIS but with this plan wich is far less expensive!!!!

No, BlackBerry's require a specific BlackBerry Data Plan. With no BlackBerry Data Plan you have no data on a BlackBerry period, just voice and SMS.

The $5 navigate data pack that includes 2MB of data is for wap on cell phones only. This will not work on a BlackBerry. You need a BlackBerry data pack added to your existing voice plan or you will need a combined voice and data pack.
You can only have access to BIS if you have a BlackBerry data pack. When it's added to your account and your account is provisioned for BlackBerry use you can use BIS. With a navigate data pack such as the $5 for 2MB of data you will not be able to use BIS or have any wireless data connectivity on your handheld.
