Hi,

I would like someone to give some aid about a problem that I have with my BB 8900.

I have the BES service, and the Outlook (Exchange) email client. Before getting my Blackberry, I created some rules for deriving email to some folders inside the email client, when i bought my BB those email never entered into my inbox on the BB, they were automatically derived.

A few weeks ago, I updated those rules on the Outlook client, and then those mails began to enter on my BB inbox, but in the Outlook client they are derived from inbox to the folders that I put in the rule.

Anyone knows how to make my BlackBerry (or BES, or Outlook) understand that I don't want that mail on my BB inbox??... Im getting angry with it, jeje

are they still exchange rules?
If they are outlook rules then that will happen since BES will get them before Outlook can process them.

As knottyrope mentioned, part of this depends on whether the rule occurs server side or client side. In older versions of Outlook client side rules would run only when the Outlook client was up and ruiing, though server rules would run continuously. It seems like in more recent version of Exchange ( we have a 2010 backend) that Microsoft is much less clear about exactly where rules run; the impression is that all rules now run on the server. It would be interesting to see what happened if you turned on folder redirection for the outlook folders that were targets of the outlook/exchange rule and see if this removes the messages from the bb inbox and puts it in a sub-folder on the bb....
