Default How safe are credit card transactions via BB?

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

I did a quick search of this forum, and did not find anything about the safety of credit card transactions via the BB. I would think that sending credit card info with the BB is safe, but I don't want to assume. I am going to register Medieval Kings with Magmic, and there is an option to pay for it OTA. Should I use a website like Handango instead?

Thanks,
CB

I was always under the assumption that BlackBerry was more secure than most internet sites, and that Security was the number one priority for BlackBerry. I know the US Goverment, as well as the Canadian Goverment use the BlackBerry to transfer emails back and forth amongst themselves. That, to me, seems proof enough of security on BB.

Anyways, you could always purchase Medieval Kings Chess from the Magmic website, or from other retailers like Handango.

BB is only secure if you are using a BES. Connections to the Web are, at best, 128 SSL. The Web site you go to and the data you enter may be encrypted as it is processed but not your connection.
No one can pull your data from the air to begin with. Don't sweat it.
