Default Magmic game updates

Please Login to Remove!

Anyone have any idea when the games that were free on the mobile bb page will be available for the Pearl, lik ethey are for 7100 series and the 72xx series. The two games I am specifically talking about are Texas Holdem' King (with multiplayer) and Hearts (which I reluctantly purchased).

Lets keep the responses in this thread....

Mjimenez0, actually the games aren't free....not on the pearl. Texas Hold em is not listed. And when you go to the magmic site using your pearl, its says that both Hearts and Texas Holdem are not compatible with the Pearl

I joined the BB Lounge (I think thats what it was called) and I got a link to d/l Hold'em for free. The screen isn't exactly formatted correctly, but you can still play fine.

I have "Aces, Texas Hold'em- Limit" that I downloaded sometime ago and have dragged it from the 8700 to the 7130c to the Pearl without a problem. Don't see it on the BB download page anymore however..

I've asked Magmic support this very question, and recently received a response from them that stated they expect to update most of their games to support the 8100 within the next week or two.

really, that would be sweet. I really miss Hearts (although it is a joke, its a quick fix) and multiplayer texas hold em.

Default Poker & Sudoku

I just joined the BB owners lounge which gives you free downloads of Texas Hold 'Em Kings 2 and Sudoku. While Texas Hold 'Em says it's for 7xxx and 87xx, if you install the 7xxx game on your pearl it runs just fine. Still have yet to get sudoku working.

This is correct.

Plus BBF member Mckinney [sp] has some full versions of the games for FREE on his server for download. At least I think he does.

The Texas Hold'em King 2 works fine on my Pearl. As I recall, when I joined BB Owner's Lounge the link required I go to Handango to download, but on there it said the price was "0." I did need to have an Handango account to download, which I did.

Yeah I found the jad (or Jar, I forget) file for Hold Em 2 and it is fine on my Pearl. Although it doesnt have the online multiplayer option. Sudoku you can get from the mobile bb site.

Texas Hold Em 2 and Hearts are now compatible with the Pearl! I saw it late last night. However if you want to play Hold Em online it seems like now you have to pay a monthly of $8.00 or something.

No, you're not playing $7.95 a month. You're paying for a one-time licence. Magmic doesn't do subscriptions.

You have to pay $8 to play online. It used to be free.

Yeah,

The free version from mobile.blackberry.com has networking disabled. You need to download the version from BB.MAGMIC.COM to get networking. The version from BB.MAGMIC.COM also has a 72-hour trial period, before it asks for you to purchase it.

It's the same with the free version of Ka-Glom, and the free version of Sudoku. The networking and multiplayer has been disabled, and if you want to play over the network, you need to purchase it.
