Hello Friends,
We are using BES 5.0.2 on Lotus Domino Platform. Is it possible to force all internet traffic through carrier provider bandwidth/RIM bandwidth instead of using our bandwidth.

Thanks!

Hi knottyrope,
i know very well and also thanks for your reply but we want without changing blackberry browser. when we are selecting default internet browser our intranet sites or some other sites are not opened those are opened in blackberry browser.Meanwhile we have also tried to push opera browser through server for testing in some blackberry but it's always goes through our bandwidth. using Internet browser it is chargeable for us.

Any solution please.

Thanks!

BlackBerry browsr uses BES for surfing and intranet access, cant change that.

Are you with OS5 and older devices?
If yes set to devices default browser to internet Browser and add to favorite the intranet sites you need to open in BlackBerry browser by default in the properties of the link on device. (been a few years since doing so)

OS 6 and 7 use wifi and then Carrier by default

Shouldnt the policy entry "MDS Browser Domains" in the "Browser" section of the Policy take care of this ?

Hey Bisleri,
It is not possible to force all internet traffic without set internet browser as a default browser. meanwhile, browsing to other browser ( opera mini etc. ) also use your bandwidth.or nothing any IT policy can restrict your internal bandwidth use while browsing.

I can say " No ".

You can do it but only if you specify the browser to use and its not the BlackBerry one.

There are more options for OS 6n7 on where to go but OP wants both worlds
