Default Want to fix my 9630 Tour to Sell

Please Login to Remove!

I want sell my BlackBerry 9630 Tour with the many accessories I have with it. I am trying to erase my personal evidence for other's use. I ran a "security wipe", afterwards when I power it up, after waiting thru the boot-up, it starts with the set up wizard screen where I need to use the trackball to choose and click "Close" or "Continue". However, the trackball does nothing no pointer or movement. Everything I've tried, pushing buttons or combinations of them does nothing it is frozen on this screen, can't even shut it down. It only reacts to battery removal and replacement in which case boot up always ends in the same SNAFU. This is a "Verizon" phone with SIM card (Verizon Wireless - Vodafone) anda 2 Gig SanDisk MicroSD memory card. I tried it with these in our out, results are the same. Other than not having a service plan, (it was transferred to my current phone) this phone worked perfectly before the security wipe. I do not know if it is "Locked" or "Unlocked". Can anyone help me?

Your phone is not unlocked. You will want to unlock it. I can't explain the not being able to click issue.

I did do an update, problem still there, I even updated to an older OS version, it downloads everything normally. but gets to the screen to click "OK" or "Continue" with always the same problem, trackball does not move pointer, clicking does nothing, can't proceed. I can see the familiar desk top screen behind the message so I know the phone took the OS update, however I cannot get any further. I'm about ready to throw the damn thing hard against the wall! The only thing I can think of, is it must have something to do with the fact it is no longer under a plan and is therefore "locked" in more ways than one.

No, that's not it. Bisleri did not know what he was talking about, and as you can see he has been banned. Did it work before you did the wipe?

Something else has happened then. OS updates do not affect the locking of the device or the trackball. Has it been exposed to moisture whilst its been sitting round?

No phone has been stored in a dry good place. As stated, it worked perfectly in every way until I did the security wipe, that is when it gets stuck on the screen where to get further, the message needs to be clicked "OK", but track ball will not do anything.
