Hi

I need some guidance on enabling our BES server to work with Communicator 2007 Server. From what I have read in past posts the functionality s available but I cannot seem to find out where and how.

Thanks

OCS 2007 will be supported with BES 4.1.6. SP6 is scheduled to be released sometime this summer. Maybe even sometime this month.

Is it as simple as ticking the box in the installer (I've seen this previously) or is it all just built in? Run 4.1.6 upgrader and it will work?

Edit: Answered my own question. Select OCS2007 during the upgrade (maybe after the reboot) and supply the OCS web access hostname. Simply as that. Now to see if I can actually make it work.

Got it installed, but not working. "You have selected an invalid address" during login on the device. I'm not worrying too much though - my test BES server running 4.1.6 is NOT in the same Windows domain as the OCS server. Since I'm logging in with HTTPS though, I can't think why that might be a problem.

It's early days though, and I'l keep trying. If I can't make it work when I upgrade the real BES, I'll be back for sure

Default What if...

We did not implement the Web client feature of OCS 2007. Does this mean that the OCS client for BlackBerry will not work with our environment?

Our OCS Server currently listens on the default MTLS port 5061 and that's basically it.

Any comments or suggestions? I am willing to install the OCS Web Client service, but if we dont have to, I would prefer that.

Thanks
